NEW WORKSHOPS COMING FALL 2024.

“I named it Red Rose because both of my grandmothers lived most of their lives in Jersey City. They both grew roses and they both held leadership roles in their neighborhoods. I want to continue their legacies through my art. And even though I spend parts of my year in London I want to build a strong platform here where I can still support other artists and the local communities both when I am here and while I am away”

RRCDT launched in 2023 & 2024 with a series of workshops called, “Let’s Dance Jersey City” and with the premiere of Opening Reception, an exhibition and performance piece featuring local visual and performance artists.

Opening Reception

Opening Reception is the premiere work of Red Rose Community Dance Theater. Celebrating the opening of a visual art exhibition this performance piece flips the art world’s traditional celebratory soiree on its head. Somewhere between reality and dreamscape we find ourselves in a world where everyone wears their hearts on their sleeves and not only says what they are thinking but acts on it.
